for Specialized Knowledge on Special Food
In order to implement the CFDA’s requirement of “carrying out skill training around professional inspector team construction and improve the inspectors’ professional knowledge level and comprehensive qualities, CFDI organized a training class for specialized knowledge on special food on March 27, 2018 to provide training on infant formula dairy products, production process of formula food for special medical purpose and relevant regulations and standards.
Professor Jiang Yujun from Northeast Agricultural University was invited to lecture in the training class. He explained the production process of infant formula dairy products in detail, analyzed the Detailed Rules for Infant Formula Milk Powder Production Permit Review and briefly introduced the General Rules on Infant Formula Food for Special Medical Purpose and the General Rules on Formula Food for Special Medical Purpose . After his explanation, the trainees had a deep understanding on the main production process, production equipment, advantages and disadvantages, main risks of and control measures and key points of production permit review for infant formula dairy products as well as classification of and nutrient content requirement for formula food for special medical purpose, which provided important references for the implementation of relevant inspection work.
More than 20 personnel from such departments and offices as CFDI, the Department of Special Food Registration, the National Institutes for Food and Drug Control and the National Committee on theAssessment of the Protected Traditional Chinese Medicinal Products participated in the training.
