In order to implement the requirements of “carrying out skills training around professional inspector team construction”, to promote the capacity of inspectorate, and improve the professional skills and comprehensive quality of the inspectors, CFDI held the sixth experts’ forum on July 19. At this forum, Zhang Wei, the secretary-general of Chinese Pharmacopoeia Commission, was invited to give a lecture on “Drug Standards and Quality, Pharmacopoeia History and compilation.

Zhang Wei, the Secretary-general, first reviewed the paper on standards and quality of China's leaders, expounded the importance of standards and quality to the drug, and explained the national drug standard system in detail which put the Chinese pharmacopoeia at the core. The secretary-general Zhang introduced the history of Chinese pharmacopeia combined the pharmacopeia at all times and in all over the world, which focuses on the organization structure of the 11th pharmacopeia committee and the overview of the 2015 edition of the Chinese pharmacopeia and the compilation progress of the 2020 edition of the Chinese pharmacopeia. The lecture of secretary-general Zhang, made a deep understanding on Chinese pharmacopeia for the participants, which is of great significance to the inspectors’ work.

Secretary-general Zhang Wei was deputy manager, assistant of the director, deputy director and director of Beijing Institute for Drug Control chemical department, the deputy director of Beijing Health Bureau Drug Affaires, the deputy director of Beijing Drug Administration, the director of Drug Registration Office and so on, and has rich experience in the research and practice of drug regulation theory.

The Office of Drug and Cosmetics Registration, the Chinese Pharmacopoeia Commission, CFDI, the Center of Beijing Drug Certification, the Center of Drug Review, and 24 provincial drugs inspectorates from the whole country synchronously watching through video system participated in the training, totally 360 person participated in the training.
