On December 17 and 18, 2018, experts from China Quality Mark Certification Group (CQM) conducted on-site certification and verification for the Center for Food and Drug Inspection of the former CFDA (hereinafter referred to as the "CFDI") based on the new version ISO 9001:2015 of quality management system. CFDI successfully passed the audit and obtained the new certification on January 22, 2019.

This audit covers all levels and fields of the internal work of CFDI, including not only the inspection business of food, drug, medical device and cosmetics, but also the comprehensive management fields of CFDI such as human resource management and financial management. According to the standards and requirements of the new version of the quality management system (ISO 9001:2015), the experts of the audit team made a comprehensive evaluation on the suitability, effectiveness and adequacy of the new version of the quality management system of CFDI by consulting documents, sampling working records, and communicating with department leader, internal auditors and relevant staff. Through on-site audit, it is confirmed that the quality management system of CFDI meets the requirements of the new quality management system, and the system operates effectively, which can meet the inspection work of food, drugs, medical devices and cosmetics.

No written disqualification were issued in this audit. According to the suggestions put forward by the audit team, CFDI will continue to improve its work quality and efficiency in accordance with international standards and on the basis of the existing quality management system.
