In order to implement the requirements of the " Opinions on Establishing a Professional and Specialized Drug Inspection Team " and reinforce the vaccine biological product inspectors capacity building, the first training course for biological product inspectors was held by the National Center for Vaccine Inspection at National Vaccine Training Base in Taizhou of Jiangsu province from December 15th to 17th. It’s the first time for Taizhou Medical City of Jiangsu province to hold such kind of training since it established as the national vaccine training base. The purpose of training is to improve inspection capabilities and build a circular inspector training system including "teaching, learning, practical and inspection".
At the opening ceremony of the training, Yu Meng, Director of the Drug Administration of Jiangsu Province and Xu Yongqian, member of the Party Working Committee of Taizhou Pharmaceutical Park, delivered speeches respectively. Shi Lei, deputy director of the National Center for Vaccine Inspection, gave the first lecture on "How to be a qualified national vaccine inspector". This training divided into two parts :theoretical and practical learning, theoretical learning focus on key point of quality system inspection, procedures of vaccine inspection, key point of drug GMP inspection and inspection case sharing, vaccine quality control points and process control, etc. Meanwhile, to highlight the special of thetraining base, participants were arranged to visit the Center for Vaccine Engineering and 2 Vaccine Manufacturing Companies. Participants expressed that the training format is novel, both theoretical learning and on-site practice. The teachers have rich experience and they benefited a lot.
A total of 38 trainees participated in the training from 20 provincial drug inspectorates including Beijing, Tianjin, Shanxi, Liaoning, Jilin, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui and Shandong. The training course was successfully held with strong support from the Drug Administration of Jiangsu Province and the New Drug Application Service Center of Taizhou Pharmaceutical Park.
