In order to strengthen the supervision and management of cosmetic labels, regulate the use of cosmetic labels, and protect the legitimate rights and interests of consumers, in accordance with the Regulations on Supervision and Administration of Cosmetics , the NMPA has formulated the Provisions for Administrative of Cosmetic Labels (hereinafter referred to as the Provisions) and issued. The relevant matters concerning in the implementation of the Provisions is announced as follows:

As of this announcement, cosmetic registration persons and notification persons are encouraged to label and identify cosmetics in accordance with the provisions. As of May 1, 2022, cosmetics that applied for registration or notification must comply with the Provisions; cosmetics that have previously applied for registration or notification without labeling in accordance with the Provisions must be completed the update of the product label before May 1, 2023 to make it comply with the Provisions.
