In order to further carry out the matters for which consensus was reached by both parties during Minister Bi Jingquan’s visit to the USA in September and actively promote the orderly development of the drug supervision and inspection of our country, a delegation made up of such five persons as Carl Sciacchitano and Guri, Senior Advisers of the Office of International Programs (OIP) of U.S. FDA and Xia Yu, Director of China Office, visited CFDI and talked about the communication and cooperation on drug supervision and inspection between China and the USA on the morning of October 19 ^th . DingJianhua, Head of the Department of Drug and Cosmetics Supervision of CFDA and Director of CFDI, Cui Hao, Division Chief of the Department of Drug and Cosmetics Supervision of CFDA, Dong Jiangping, Deputy Director of CFDI, and the staff of relevant divisions and offices met with the delegation.

At the meeting, general information on the cooperation on drug inspection between both parties in recent three years was communicated, and agreement on the establishment of long-term stable cooperation and exchange mechanism in the drug inspection field was reached on the basis of the consensus arrived at by senior leaders of both parties, and the specific matters of the cooperation on drug inspection was emphatically discussed. In the next stage, both parties will continue to carry out the specific matters of the cooperation on the basis of this meeting.
